Correspondence Chess

In correspondence chess the players never meet face to face. Rather they play a game by email or by postal mail. In some cases they even play by ham radio. This is possible because the chessboard is made of 64 squares and each square has a unique name. This allows the chess players to indicate where they wish to move their men on the chessboard. Thus, players do not need to be present in the same room while playing.
